This summer St. Francis of Assisi LifeTeen will be journeying to the Steubenville Catholic Youth Conference in Atlanta, GA. This is an incredibly opportunity for 48 of our parish teens - and one of them could be you. This semester at LifeNights we are going to be taking a look at the seven sacraments of our Church as special ways God's grace crashes into our life every day. Each LifeNight will focus on a specific sacrament, and of course issue nights on love, friendship, and dating will all be mixed in there as well. Its going to be a great semester, with a lot of great announcements and definitely one you will not want to miss.
If you have been away from LifeTeen for a while, or just have been debating whether or not to be involved, now is a great time to come back. Know that you are always welcome, and we look forward to seeing you every Sunday!
lifenight sponsorship
Want to help out in a way that affects many teenagers every week? Consider sponsoring a LifeNight! LifeNight sponsorship is easy, and a necessity for us to continue our ministry. Each of our LifeNights has a budget of $150 - this money is allotted for food, environment, and any other materials needed for the evening. Without this budget we would not be able to do the ministry we are called to do.
A LifeNight sponsorship is $150. You may sponsor a LifeNight in memory of a loved one, anniversary, or other special occassion. We display the sponsor name for the evening at the mass on the screen before the service, and place the sponsor for the following week in the bulletin. Come find out this week at LifeNight!
EDGE: Care for God's CreationGod created everything. Then he gave it to us to take care of. We call this being "stewards" of the environment. So how are you taking care of God's creation? This week at EDGE we take a look at the first "green theology" ever - right here in our faith. How can we protect our environment and honor God? Every middle school student needs to attend this EDGE night next Monday and find out!
